Description
-
Thread seal tape is a film tape commonly used in sealing pipe threads. The tape is wound on a spool,
making it easy to wind around pipe threads. -
Using thread seal tape prevents threads from seizing should it need to be unscrewed. The tape also
works as a thread lubricant to seal the joint without making it more difficult to tighten. -
Typically the tape is wound around the pipe/fitting’s thread three times before it is screwed into
place. -
Applications include:
- Pressurized water systems
- Central heating systems
- Air compression equipment
